What exactly counts as post-construction duct cleaning?
It is the removal of construction debris from ventilation and extraction ductwork after a build or refurbishment. That means plaster dust, timber and metal offcuts, swarf, wrappers and fine particulate that settles on every internal surface before the system is handed over.
Can you work around other trades still on site?
Yes, in most cases. We sequence our work around your programme and can section the ductwork so live areas stay undisturbed. Where a zone must be isolated, we agree the window with your site manager in advance.
Do you clean ductwork that has never been used?
New ductwork still needs cleaning. Debris enters during installation, and dust clings to the internal surfaces. Left in place it will be pushed through the system on first commissioning and settle in filters, coils and occupied rooms.
How do you stop dust spreading through the building?
We work under negative pressure with containment at each opening, so loosened material travels into our extraction unit rather than into the room. Floors and finishes around access points are protected for the duration.
Can the ducts be cleaned without cutting large access holes?
We use existing access panels and grilles wherever the layout allows. Where none exist, we cut openings to a size we can reseal to the same fire and air-tightness standard, and we agree those positions with you first.
What do we receive once the work is finished?
A post-clean report with photographs of internal surfaces before and after, a record of the areas cleaned and the methods used, and our certificate of cleanliness. We can also supply particle or deposit readings if your specification calls for them.
